NAZ NAMES PROVISIONAL WORLD CUP TEAM

THE Netball Association of Zambia has selected a provisional team of 22 players to begin preparations for next year’s World Cup set for Australia. 

Releasing the team list yesterday, NAZ general secretary Pritchard Ngoma said the players would go into camp at the Olympic Youth Development Centre next Monday. 
Four Under-20 players have been included in the team that has six new inclusions. The quartet is Ethel Pamba and Tina Saikolo, both of Prisons, Miriam Milambo from Green Eagles and Esther Nyirenda from Napsa. 
Other new call-ups are Kalonde Mwale of Napsa, Precious Chope of  Lusaka City Council, and Petronella Chisanga  of Nkwazi. 
Zambia has been drawn in Pool D alongside Fiji, Wales, and Uganda for the August 7-16 tournament. South Africa and Malawi are the other African countries participating in the World Cup.
